Thanks to Karin L. for sending this roving reporter review! For this report Karin has earned 2 free passes to Imagine That!!! in Florham Park. Check out this link for more information on how you can earn passes too!

Mountainside Park in Montclair NJ, has a playground toward the back of the park, behind the basketball court. It is surrounded by two fences in the back, as it is adjacent to train tracks. (The trains are pretty quiet as they pass throughout the day.) There are two pieces of equipment, one for younger children, ages 1-3, and a bigger one for ages 3 and up. There is not a ton of shade in the am hours. There are benches surrounding the play area.

Street Address: 505 Upper Mountain Ave, Upper Montclair
Recommended Ages: (usually posted on the equipment or at the park)
One larger playground for 5-12 year olds and a pre-school playground for 2-5 year olds
Climbing: Monkey bars, climbing wall
Slides: Toddler equipment has four slides while the larger play area has two side-by-side slides.

What kind of amenities can you find at this location?
Parking: On-street parking across the street (can get crowded when there are events at the Iris Gardens across the street.)
Benches: A few benches are scattered throughout the playground area
Drinking Fountain: One at the entrance of park.
Bathrooms: Indoor bathrooms (opened haphazardly.)
Sports Fields: Baseball field, soccer field
Basketball: Full court with 2 nets, not lit
Tennis: 4 tennis courts

Other Cool Stuff: The playground is usually pretty empty. Also, being set so far back from the road, there is little worry of little ones running by cars.
