Kennedy Field in Norwood NJ is a nice park on the grounds of the town municipal fields. The playground is in the complete shaded by large trees within the play area. The area is enclosed and has mulch ground cover. There is a big purple dinosaur on the toddler child area and a larger yellow and red structure for the big kids. There is plenty of climbing and playthings to keep them busy for hours.

DIRECTIONS: GSP N to exit 168 Washington/Westwood/HoHoKus. Bare right off of the exit onto Washington Ave. Stay on Washington Ave for approximately 2 miles and bare right onto Broadway in the center of Westwood. Continue on Broadway for about 3 miles and make a left onto Schraalenburgh Rd. Make a right onto Tappan Rd for approximately 1 mile and make a right onto Broadway.
PARKING: Large paved lot close to the playground.
PICNICKING: Six picnic tables under huge oak and maple trees.
CLIMBING: Monkey bars, steps, wiggle poles, rock wall, chain steps, bars, bridges
PLAYTHINGS: Tic-tac-toe, matching games, theater stage, fire engine, steering wheels, puzzles
SLIDES: One corkscrew, three chutes, one bump, one double
SPORTS: Baseball field, soccer field, basketball courts
SWINGS: Two full size, two toddler
WALKING PATHS: Paved around the park
WATER: Cool fountains just a short distance past the Municipal Complex.
OTHER COOL STUFF: Veteran’s Memorial area with a fountain that looks like the reflection pools in Washington DC.
MAKE A DAY OF IT: After a hot afternoon at the playground stop by Dairy Queen located at 216 Old Tappan Rd in the Bi State Plaza for a Blizzard, Mr. Misty, or a Peanut Buster Parfait. Weekly visits from a local face painter are a new edition to DQ, call ahead for details.
