It is another National Night Out in NJ celebrated traditionally on the first Tuesday in August! We are researching the best links to find out what is going on! This 2012, National Night Out falls on August 7, 2012. So let’s spotlight some of these, shall we?

Bergen County National Night Out:

Fair Lawn’s National Night Out and Family Fun Night will be held at Memorial park from 7-9PM.

Fairview’s National Night Out is at a new location, ANDERSON AVENUE BETWEEN KAMENA STREET & KENNEDY DRIVE, 6:00 PM UNTIL 10:00 PM, NY1 Video link here!

Garfield’s National Night Out- 6-9PM 20th Century Field: State Police Helicopter landing, fun stuff for the kids, click here for more details.

Leonia’s National Night Out 2012- Bounce house alert! and a very special Medivac landing of a helicopter from HUMC to Wood Park, (great park by the way) 6-9pm on Broad AVe. between Fort Lee Road and Beechwood Place. check out more details from the Leonia website

Paramus National Night Out- Cool stuff going on here including the Hit Men performing after official festivities at 7:30PM.  From mybergen.com: “The Paramus Police Department will present National Night Out on Monday, August 7, 2012 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. The event will take place at the main Paramus Library located at E116 Century Road in Paramus, New Jersey.”  For more details check out mybergen.com complete description.

Rivervale has fireworks! Here is an excerpt from their website: “The 5th Annual National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 7th from 5:30pm – 9:00pm at the Upper Grove Field Complex. Fireworks to follow at 9pm at the River Vale Country Club. For more info including shuttles, check out their website.

Teaneck is having train rides for the kiddies for their National Night Out as well as bounce houses and a military helicopter landing. Check out the Patch listing here.

Essex County National Night Out

Morris County National Night Out

Florham Park is having their National Night Out at their municipal complex (Recreation Pavilion) with a helicopter landing and ending with the “Muppets” movie. Here’s a nifty flyer for more details.

For a very interesting indoor venue, with ice skating, check out Morristown’s National Night Out taking place at the Mennen Sports Arena. THey even have a demonstration about bomb robots. Click here for more details.

Union County National Night Out

National Night Out in Springfield is taking place at Meisel Park and will be followed by an 8PM concert by Grickenz, and then at dusk an outdoor movie is shown courtesy of UCNJ, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. More details here.

Next door in Union, they will have a “Dunk-a-cop” Dunk Tank, and a bounce house at 981 Caldwell Avenue, complete w/ HQ Police tours Flyer link.

Summit is having a fun gathering at the Village Green, with an inflatable obstacle course, a magic show, and an appearance by Shark Diddy. Summit’s Patch has more details here.
