Why did we create this site?
As a mother of 3, I was interested in finding new places to venture with my boys, and found that playgrounds were not easy to find via the internet. We started to venture to local playgrounds and by talking to other parents we soon had a list of hidden gems to take photos and write descriptions. This has been a fun hobby and we hope that this will help you find some free places to visit in your area!
About the Author
NJ Playgrounds was created by Sheila, wife and mother of 3, part-time consultant/freelancer, and playground enthusiast. Although most of the pictures come from her trips to visiting playgrounds with her children, some of them are contributed by the community. NJ Playgrounds strongly encourages people to share their experiences and photos so we can get a broader picture of the playgrounds of the Garden State.
