Editor’s Note: Hi NJ friends, today’s visit is to the Woodbridge Community Center aka “The Arenas at Woodbridge”  where we were surprised to see so much going on!  Want to thank Jane, Pam and Noelle from the Woodbridge Rec department!  Our kids had a great time mini-golfing and attempting to roller skate 🙂

The Arenas at Woodbridge is a very cool place to visit especially if you are a fan of roller or ice skating.  Presently sharing space with the local Y, the arenas currently consist of the outdoor Mini-Golf Course, roller skating rink with arcades and ice skating rink.  Currently the YMCA there allows non members to visit for open swim times for $10/adult $8/kids.

Mini Golf area

The miniature golf here is very ADA friendly, and the kids enjoyed the “river hole” the best (see video below). Very convenient to have nets right by the water, which was the favorite part for my four year old to rescue balls.

Pricing: Adults $7; Children $5 (Age 12 and under); Seniors $5;
Hours: Open daily at noon (Call 732-596-4103 for times) Weather permitting!

Roller Skating

I was definitely not meant to have wheels on my feet, but it didn’t stop us from trying! My friend and I were brave enough to get the kids some skates, and check out the roller rink. It was at that point I wish I had roller skated more in my youth so I could guide the kids, but they still had a good time! If you have older kids, this place is a great place to go for them to have a party or hang out with friends. There is arcade entertainment all around the rink as well as food! We had some chicken nuggets, fries and pizza followed by arcade games. It was a fun day!
