Summer Movies in the Park 2012- Union County Edition

We love movies at the park! Family Fun Flix was great last year, and this year they are back thanks to Union County Parks and Recreation. This year’s movies are held at Warinanco, Meisel Park in Springfield and Conant Park in Hillside. Link to their site

• Tuesday, August 7th at Meisel Park in Springfield: “Justin Bieber Never Say Never” (105 minutes) (well I was going to say I’m never planning on watching this movie, but Bieber says otherwise)

• Tuesday, August 14th at Conant Park in Hillside: “Cars 2″ (106 minutes)

We love summer!!! There is so much to do and now Bergen County has their listings for “Movies Under the Stars” all in beautiful Overpeck County Park (we just covered this playground it is amazing and one of the biggest in the Garden State) , from their site:

Summer Movies in the Park 2011- Union County Edition

Last summer we had attended a movie in the park, and the kids had a great time, this summer I wanted to include what was going on by county. Family Fun Flix was great last year, and this year they are back thanks to Union County Parks and Recreation.  Information from our site on Warinanco, Echo Lake, and Trailside Nature Center From their site:

“Family Fun and Flix begins at dusk, but come early to the park to enjoy interesting preview activities at 7:30 p.m. that are fun for the whole family,” said Freeholder Chairman Deborah Scanlon. “Bring a blanket or beach chair to claim your spot on the lawn or save a seat in the bleachers – either way, the early birds are sure to like the preview activity before each movie.”

• Tuesday, July 12 at Warinanco Park in Roselle/Elizabeth: the whole family will enjoy experimenting with Mad Science before the screening of “Despicable Me.”

• Tuesday, July 19 at Warinanco Park: there will be Basketball Fun and Games followed by the animated feature film, “Space Jam.”

• Tuesday, July 26 at Warinanco Park: see if you can Kung Fu your way to self defense before watching the original “Kung Fu Panda.”

• Tuesday, August 2 at Meisel Park in Springfield: Take part in National Night Out, sponsored by PBA Local #73, before viewing “G-Force.”

• Tuesday, August 9 at Meisel Park in Springfield: Make a fishy craft project before the showing of “Finding Nemo.”

• Friday, August 19 at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside: Enjoy a classic car show by G-Wiz Auto Entertainment and the Garden State Chevelles before the animated adventure comedy, “Cars.”

Last summer we had attended a movie in the park, and the kids had a great time, this summer I wanted to include what was going on by county.
