Sgt Frank Pigano Park USMC is an excellent playground with two structures, one for older and one for younger children. Also a swing set, although lacking any bucket swings. There is plenty of shade at this playground. The structures are on a wood-chip type base but surrounding the structures are sidewalks. The park is relatively clean. The ‘ramp’ on the large structure is actually very shallow steps which provides an added challenge to the children.

How many stars would you give this park on a scale of 1-5? 5
Town: Teaneck / Bogota
Street Address: Cross Streets of Queen Anne Rd and Elmwood Avenue
Name of Manufacturer: (Optional) – Built by Gametime
Recommended Ages: (I’ve seen 2-10 year olds there, not sure what the recommendations are)
One larger playground for 5-12 year olds and a pre-school playground for 2-5 year olds
Climbing: A number of climbing areas on the structures (see in pictures) pose different challenges.
Playthings: Tic-tac-toe, slides, a ‘bench’ where each segment rocks slightly to each side, ramps (as above), tunnels with cut-outs, swings (for older children),
Slides: Toddler slides plus a big twisty tunnel slide.
Swings: Big kid swings are nicely separated from the rest of the equipment. There are no baby swings.
Other: The ‘bench’ mentioned above
Parking: Street Parking
Benches: A few benches are scattered throughout the playground area
Food & Beverage: A few blocks away
Handicap Accessibility: NOTHING, BUT this was a great place for my legally blind son to practice different types of ramps/steps with his white cane.
Walking Paths: Nicely paved around structures, NOT a ‘nature walk’ type of path

Other Cool Stuff: All listed above, but very important to note is that it is right next to a busy street with areas to enter the park on three sides, and no gates at those entry ways.

Make a Day of It: This is really an activity for an hour or two. It is in Teaneck NJ which is only about 15 minutes away from Van Saun park. Also, about 15 minutes from shopping.
