Directions
From 287 take I-80 East exit 41A toward New York City. Take Exit 45 toward Lake Hiawatha. Turn left onto South Beverwyck Rd. Run right onto Lake Shore Dr and then left onto Seminole Ave. Follow Seminole to end.

Description
Volunteers Park is located in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany. It offers a ton of sports activities, two large children’s play areas, and a large reservable picnic area. The playground is great, nicely shaded with whimsical statues. One play area is for toddlers and one for ages 5-12.

Parking: Two medium sized lots
Picnicking: A shelter with electricity and charcoal grills.
Climbing: Handlebars, rope wall, corkscrew pole, ladders
Playthings: Statues, tires, steering wheel, tic-tac-toe, looking glasses
Seesaws: Caterpillar rocker, four-seater “trouble”
Slides: Two toddler, one chute, one corkscrew
Sports: Three softball fields, two basketball courts and four volleyball courts under lights a bocce court, and horseshoe pits
Swings: Three toddler, four full size
Walking Paths: Around the perimeter of the park and play areas
Other Cool Stuff: Three turtle and two dolphin statues, look out for a new skate park!

Pick up picnicking supplies and refreshments at Gene’s III or Krauzer’s convenience store. Check out nearby XBoardLife for all your skateboard and snowboard needs.
