From Lyndhurst site for 2015: “The Lyndhurst Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to announce that the Spray Park and the Town Hall Park Concession Stand located on Court Avenue will officially open for the summer season on Monday, June 151h.
The Spray Park, which is fenced in within Town Hall Park, will be open and staffed Monday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times) and there is a $1.00 admission fee for adults and children.
The concession stand will be open from 11 :00 AM-5:00 PM.
For more information, please call Parks and Recreation Department at (201) 804-2482.”

Check out our review here. They aren’t really your full fledged sprayground, but definitely great to beat the heat.

Great park, and the town was overwhelmed with visitors, so for a bit it was just for residents, but they changed it back according to the comments, for the past 2 summers. Fond memories of this day trip.

Colts Neck
Sprayground at Dorbrook Recreation Area– 209 County Route 537, Colts Neck, NJ. 732-542-1642; Hours: Opens 10am on weekends and holidays, 11am on weekdays. Closes at 7:30pm. So if this wasn’t so far, we would be here often, I still think this is the best one in NJ and it was the first one we visited with our boys back in 2008. The water table is what sells it, and the awesome playground that is separated enough that it doesn’t get too wet like Ponderosa. UPDATE MAY 24, 2016- DORBROOK SPRAYGROUND IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION

Randolph Park, $5 for residents or non member guests, $10 for non-residents (weekdays only non residents) 43 Green Lane (973) 584-1358 The main attraction at this active recreation area is a beautiful beach which includes a beach house with a changing room, a refreshment stand, picnic facilities for small and large groups, permanent docks for lap swimming, a spray park and a basketball court. The public beach is open for daily visitation for a fee of $5.00 per person for residents and $10.00 for non-residents.
